Urooj Kamran Azmi is a senior at Northwestern University’s campus in Qatar, majoring in Communication with a Civic Engagement certificate. Urooj has a passion for film making and community development.
Her dream role is to be a social entrepreneur and work with minority groups and disadvantage communities and encourage them to use the power of media to help them grow, be inspired and success. She loves to produce powerful and story telling content which get to the heart of a matter. She's wants to get behind the 'why' of many opinions and pull them all together into film pieces that digs deep and shares the true story behind the people in the story.
At 22 she has achieved so much and next year when she graduates from North Western University she wants to go back to Pakistan and start driving the key stories she wants the world to hear. Right now her passion is her education. She loving being educated in something she is truly passionate about. For her, her classes inspire her and create the themes she wants to film and create content for.
